Essie Davis is the latest, confirmed cast member of Game of Thrones season 6.
After photos of Davis on set of the HBO series were posted online, The Hollywood Reporter officially confirmed she had been cast.
The Tasmanian-born actress will play a member of a group of traveling theater performers in Braavos. This group will perform a play titled The Bloody Hand, mocking Westeros and its inhabitants. Davis’ character will portraying Queen Cersei in the play.
Davis has appeared in several films including The Matrix Reloaded, The Matrix Revolutions and The Babadook, an Australian psychological horror film.
Other actors that have been confirmed for the new season of Game of Thrones include Pilou Asbaek, Richard E. Grant, Freddie Stroma, Ian McShane and Max von Sydow.
