Eric Trump Fumes About His Father’s Business Fraud Trial To Sean Hannity: ‘These People Are Cruel’

Following his father’s confrontational testimony in his civil fraud trial this week, Eric Trump appeared on Fox News and appealed to New York AG Letitia James to take into account the well-being of the “thousands” of blue-collar workers employed by the Trump Organization who would be impacted if the organization were to dissolve.

Donald Trump has maintained that there was no illegal activity in the family business, despite Judge Arthur Engoron‘s previous ruling that substantial fraud had occurred.

In his conversation with anchor Sean Hannity, Eric expressed his unhappiness with James’ prosecution and alleged that it was driven by political motivations.

Hannity, who seemed similarly irritated, proceeded to highlight details from Judge Engoron’s September ruling, which held the former president and his two adult sons responsible for “persistent and repeated” fraud. As a consequence, the Trump Organization had its business licenses revoked.

James is currently seeking a $250 million penalty for the business fraud.

“I guess if there is any comfort, I have a hard time believing that this would stand on an appeal if you get a fair judge — if you’re able to get a fair judge — in New York,” Hannity said, and added dramatically, “This is your life. This is your family.”

Eric framed the trial as an opportunity for James to target those who had no relation to the fraud, similar to his father’s claims that his multiple prosecutions are at the core just attacks on his supporters.

“Let’s not forget about the thousands of employees,” Eric reminded Hannity, and went on to name maids, housekeepers, engineers, drivers and bellmen — “people who literally rely on our family and our properties to put food on our tables every single night.”

He argued, “There are thousands of people that are collateral damage to Letitia James’ games, and she doesn’t give a damn. Isn’t she responsible for taking care of New Yorkers and representing the best interest of New Yorkers? These people have incredible jobs because of us, and she wants to put those people in peril? Sean, these people are cruel.”
