Eric Roberts Joins Cast Of 'The Human Centipede 3'

Eric Roberts, the Oscar-nominated actor and brother to Julia Roberts, will be joining the cast of The Human Centipede 3, the latest installment in the grotesque horror series, reported Entertainment Weekly.

In addition to Roberts, Human Centipede 3 will also star series newcomers Tommy “Tiny” Lister (The Fifth Element), Robert La Sardo (Death Race) and retired porn star and former Charlie Sheen “goddess” Bree Olson. Returning to the horror franchise will be sadistic villains Dieter Laser and Laurence R. Harvey.

For those unfamiliar with Tom Six's The Human Centipede series, each installment revolves around the mission of connecting helpless victims together to form a straight line, thereby creating a singular alimentary canal. While the first film had Dr. Heiter (Laser) force only three people into the cruel formation, The Human Centipede 3 promises a sequence of 500 individuals, Six confirmed via Twitter.

Roberts has a number of other projects in the works, including The Unknown Son with Val Kilmer and Gina Gershon. After a period of being somewhat under the radar, Roberts received praise from critics after his performance in 2008’s The Dark Knight. He was nominated for an Oscar for his role in Runaway Train in 1985.
