The 68th Primetime Emmy Awards, hosted by late night talk show host and comedian Jimmy Kimmel, will be held Sunday evening at Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater, with the show kicking off at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
Before the Emmy Awards commence on Sunday, Sept. 18, ABC will air live coverage of the red carpet, starting at 7 p.m. EST. For earlier coverage of the red carpet, E! will start broadcasting at 4:30 p.m. EST with hosts Giuliana Rancic and Jason Kennedy.
For those looking to stream the Emmys, ABC Go will be showing the hourlong red carpet as well as the entire ceremony.
Game of Thrones, leading the nominations again, was nominated for Best Drama Series alongside The Americans, Better Call Saul, Downton Abbey, Homeland, House of Cards and Mr. Robot. Acting nods for Game of Thrones went to Peter Dinklage, Kit Harington, Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke and Maisie Williams.
The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story dominated the Outstanding Limited Series categories, which also saw American Crime, The Night Manager, Fargo and Roots nominated. Cuba Gooding Jr., Courtney B. Vance, Sarah Paulson, Sterling K. Brown, John Travolta and David Schwimmer all got nods for their work on the Ryan Murphy series.
Outstanding Comedy Series nods went to Modern Family, Silicon Valley, Transparent, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Veep, Master of None and black-ish, which saw stars Anthony Anderson and Tracy Ellis Ross nominated.
