Emmy Rossum Failed To Recognize Her Gynecologist

Emmy Rossum shared an embarrassing encounter with her gynecologist via Twitter on Tuesday.

“Saw a man I recognized but couldn’t figure out HOW I knew him,” Rossum began before elaborating in a short series of tweets.

Just had the most AWKWARD moment.Saw a man I recognized but couldn't figure out HOW I knew him. He was SO familiar but I couldn't place him.

So finally I leaned over and said, Excuse me but you look so familiar. Do I know you? He said, Hi Emmy. It's Dr Katz. I'm your gynocologist.

Rossum had failed to recognize her gynecologist. Humiliated, Rossum took to Twitter to recount the funny encounter to all of her followers.

“Horrifying. Mortifying,” Rossum wrote before asking her Twitter followers if they had ever made the same error.

Horrifying. Mortifying. Has that or anything like that happened to any of you?? Come on, tell me it has. Make me feel less like an idiot.

Rossum is currently busy filming the forth season of her hit show Shameless and will appear as a guest-judge on Project Runway airing tonight at 9 p.m. on Lifetime.
