Emma Stone works hard for her craft.
The 22-year-old comedian, who recently received a Golden Globe nomination for her portrayal of a resourceful high school nerd who tries to sex up her image in Easy A, is delighted that Hollywood has taken notice of her comedic talents. "I would lose my mind if I felt like I had to be something like 'the pretty girl,'" she told W magazine.
Delivering laughs has its drawbacks, too, however. Like the fake sex scenes her character had to simulate in the movie. "Simulation of sex is a real workout," she said. "We must have done a hundred takes . . . . It took two days!"
The famously redheaded star will go back to her blonde roots, so to speak, for her upcoming role in the Spiderman remake as the superhero's early love interest, Gwen Stacy. —KIMBERLY STEELE
