Emma Roberts and her American Horror Story star boyfriend Evan Peters allegedly got into an altercation in a hotel room in Canada on July 7, which led to Roberts' arrest on suspicion of domestic violence.
A call had been put into police to report what sounded like a fight coming from Roberts and Peters’ hotel room, according to Montreal law enforcement. When the police arrived, they found Peters, 26, with a bloody nose and a bite mark. Roberts, niece to Julia Roberts and daughter to actor Eric Roberts, was arrested at the scene. The 22-year-old up-and-coming actress was released hours later, as Peters declined to press charges against his girlfriend.
Roberts and Peters, who are starring in the third season of American Horror Story together, have not called it quits following the fight. "It was an unfortunate incident and misunderstanding," a rep for the couple told Us Weekly. "Ms. Roberts was released after questioning and the couple are working together to move past it."
American Horror Story: Coven, in addition to welcoming Roberts to the cast, will include a number of other new cast members, including Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Patti LuPone and Gabourey Sidibe. Coven, which is filming in New Orleans, will revolve around a group of witches. Roberts character, Madison, is described as a “self-involved party girl,” reported TV Line.
