British model Emma Appleton has suggested that photographer Terry Richardson solicited her for sex in exchange for a position in a Vogue photoshoot.

Emma Appleton Shares Text From Terry Richardson

Appleton, unlike past models who’ve alleged that Richardson made inappropriate sexual advances, didn’t file a lawsuit. Instead, she uploaded a screenshot of a text message she received that appears to be from the photographer, reported Complex. “If I can f—k you I will book you in [New York] for a shoot for Vogue,” read the message received on Sunday, April 20.

Not long after posting the tweet, Appleton appeared to deactivate her Twitter account. After responding to a few commenters, Appleton wrote, “Beginning to wish I hadn't posted that…it doesn't matter who you are or the what the industry is, just be a decent human being."

After going off Twitter, Appleton took to Instagram in an attempt to clear the air, maintaining that she wasn’t seeking attention in sharing the text message.

“Let me clear something up –- I don’t want this attention, I have no desire to become known in the slightest,” Appleton wrote. “If the account is fake then it needs to be removed, if it’s real then he’s a hideous human. I regret posting it because of what it’s caused but at the same time (if it’s real) then it shouldn’t be covered up, there are too many young, vulnerable girls that this industry can exploit. Thank you for the kind messages and that’s the end of it.”

Richardson has denied Appleton’s claim through his PR representative, Candice Marks. “This is obviously fake,” Marks said in a statement to Buzzfeed. “Terry did not send this text."

Over the years, numerous models have alleged that Richardson had sexually harassed them, including Charlotte Waters, Jamie Peck and Rie Rasmussen. Richardson has denied all accusations and has yet to ever be officially charged or convicted of any crime of a sexual nature.
