Rapper Eminem has announced that he will be re-releasing his 1999 master hit album, The Slim Shady LP on none other than a cassette tape.
It seems that the legendary rapper might be taking his fans back before CDs and iTunes took over by re-releasing the album on a cassette tape. The Detroit rapper hasn’t set a date for the tape but only a “coming soon” in his Twitter announcement.
Eminem tweeted, “#SSLP Cassette re-issue coming soon” with a short muted video of the tape moving in a 360 revolution. The cover also appears to be holographic.
He also tweeted, “Still don’t give a f–k. 16 years ago today #SSLP” to commemorate the release of the album on February 23, 1999. This album included his most popular hits, “My Name Is,” “Just Don’t Give A F–k” and “Guilty Conscience.”
The rapper is scheduled to perform at three upcoming South American Lollapalooza festivals, starting with Sao Paulo, Brazil, on March 12.
Seibert speculated, “If struggle without context is baffling, heaven without struggle isn’t very interesting.”
The shooter was identified to be John R. Lyons, 24, of Westchester, Illinois.
