Eminem is selling pieces of brick and wood from his childhood home as limited edition collectibles to celebrate the 16-year anniversary of Marshall Mathers LP.
The items are available on the rapper’s official website. There are 700 bricks in a plexiglass case with a plaque on the side. The wood had been made into dog tags in small quantities. The dog tags are placed in a handmade box remodeled after the childhood home. The collectibles come in a package with a cassette with a 3-D motion-printed cover of the re-released studio album. The packages start at $313.
The childhood home was feature on the covers of both, Marshall Mathers LP and Marshall Mathers LP 2. Marshall Mathers LP includes some of the Michigan native’s top hits, like “The Real Slim Shady.”
Eminem’s childhood home was demolished in 2013 due to the unstable structure, and happens to be the in the same month Eminem’s Marshall Mathers LP 2 was released. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Marshall Mathers Foundation which helps to rebuild Detroit.
