Eminem Dominates Grammy Nominations

It's safe to say that Eminem's comeback album, Recovery, is aptly titled.

The nominations for the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards were announced Wednesday night, and the rapper finds himself on top of the game with a stellar ten nominations, including Album of the Year, Best Rap Album, and both Song / Record of the Year for his duet with singer Rihanna, "Love the Way You Lie."

Eminem led the nominees by three, with Bruno Mars coming in second place with seven nominations, while Jay-Z and "Ladies" Gaga and Antebellum followed closely behind with six nominations each. Katy Perry and Arcade Fire also scored nods for Album of the Year, and Michael Jackson's posthumously-released song, "This Is It," won a nomination for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance. Teenage heartthrob Justin Bieber appeared via satellite at the Grammy Nominations Concert Live event after his nomination for Best New Artist was announced, saying, "Wow, it feels amazing. I can't believe I'm in this position."

Bieber wasn't the only one gushing. Perry, who also performed her song "California Gurls" at the concert, said of the Grammy Awards, "It's like no other award show, because I feel like you're being recognized by your peers." The Grammy Awards will be held on Sunday, February 13th, at The Staples Center in L.A. –KIMBERLY STEELE
