Emily Wickersham has been tapped to take on the role of Bishop on NCIS, a part that was created in the aftermath of series star Cote de Pablo’s announcement to leave after eight seasons playing the beloved Ziva David.

Wickersham will play the twentysomething named Bishop, who was described in a casting breakdown as "bright, educated, athletic, attractive, fresh-faced, focused and somewhat socially awkward,” according to TVLine. “She has a mysterious mixture of analytic brilliance, fierce determination and idealism. She's traveled extensively, but only feels comfortable at home."

Prior to landing the gig on the hit CBS prodecural drama, Wickersham appeared in a number of small TV and film roles. She’s perhaps best known for playing A.J.’s girlfriend Rhiannon is the final season of The Sopranos and her current recurring role on The Bridge. She also appeared in features Definitely, Maybe, Gone and I Am Number Four.
