Emily Ratajkowski Sued For Copyright Infringement Over Candid Shot Posted To Instagram

Emily Ratajkowski, 28, recently shared a candid shot on her Instagram story, in which she is holding a bouquet of flowers over her face. The Gone Girl actress captioned the New York City-based photo: “Mood Forever.”

Ratajkowski and her company Emrata Holdings Inc. are now being sued by professional photographer for $150,000, plus any other profits the super model may have made from the photograph. O’Neil filed a lawsuit in the Southern District of New York, claiming that there has been copyright infringement and that Ratajkowski did not get permission or consent from him to share the photo.

Gigi Hadid and Justin Bieber are included in the list of stars who have recently been sued for copyright infringement. Hadid was also sued by the same photographer when she posted an image of boyfriend Zayn Mailk, for which she did not have the license or authority to reproduce.

Bieber was sued by another celebrity photographer when he shared an image that he did not have the rights to.

Luckily, the pop star and photographer worked things out and made peace.
