Actors Emily Blunt and John Krasinski announced on Sunday that they were now the proud parents of a daughter they’d named Hazel.

Krasinski, 34, took to Twitter to break the baby news. "Wanted to let the news out directly," the Office actor tweeted. "Emily and I are so incredibly happy to welcome our daughter Hazel in the world today! Happy bday!"

Blunt and Krasinski confirmed that they were expecting their first child together back in September. A year earlier, the Into the Woods actress had hinted that a baby could be in the couple’s near future. "We want to have children; I just don't know when yet,” she told Manhattan magazine. “I'm just not sure about the timing of all of that. We're both from big families, so I think it's something we want."

Blunt celebrated her impending motherhood back in December with a star-studded baby shower that was attended by the likes of Jennifer Aniston, Kristen Bell and Amy Adams. "Emily seems very excited about the baby and looks great," a source told People at the time. "She opened gifts of baby clothes and plush toys in front of her guests as they enjoyed cookies and chocolate. Everyone was oohing and ahhing."

Blunt and Krasinski first began dating back in 2008. By August 2009 the pair was engaged, and they were married the following year in Como, Italy.
