“Rocket Man” singer Elton John, 75, and Britney Spears, 40, are collaborating on a new version of his 1972 hit song “Tiny Dancer.”
The song is being produced by Andrew Watt, who won the 2021 Grammy Award for Producer of the Year. The remade track is set to be released next month by Universal Music.
The news came after Spears and her husband, Sam Asghari, hung out with actor Taron Egerton, who played John in the 2019 musical drama Rocketman on Saturday.
“Coolest guy ever!!! Such a freaking fan… I was so stupid!!!” she captioned a now-deleted video of the encounter.
Both Spears and John did not attend John’s 30th Annual Academy Awards Viewing Party in March.
Asghari told reporters that “she’s at home” and “traveling a lot.”
Now that Spears is free from her 13-year-long conservatorship, she is back to focusing on her music career and appears ready to create new music.
Spears recently posted an alternate version of her smash hit “Baby One More Time” on Instagram, revealing she had been trying to re-record the song for years.
“I haven’t shared my voice in an extremely long time… may be too long,” she captioned the video.
