Elon Musk‘s 20-year-old daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson, has publicly challenged her father’s portrayal of himself as a devoted and traditional family man.

Wilson, who is transgender and legally changed her last name and severed ties with Musk at the age of 18, has accused the SpaceX and Tesla CEO of lying about her gender transition, his efforts on climate change and his involvement in her upbringing.

In a series of posts on the social media platform Threads, Wilson refuted Musk’s claim of a “happy family,” and stated that he has been “cold” and absent during her childhood. She also criticized Musk’s recent comment on X. A user shared an old clip of Musk and Wilson’s mother, Justine Musk, captioned: “Even though Elon Musk was super busy, he still made time for his family. Nothing is more important than family.”

Musk tweeted a response to the post, “All 5 boys super happy.”

Wilson wrote on Threads, “It seems to me like you’re trying to rebuild your brand image as the ‘caring paternal father’ which I will not let go unchallenged.”

She continued, “You just won’t stop lying about me in interviews, books, social media, etc. Thank god you’re absolutely terrible at it because otherwise, this would be significantly more difficult.”

In a follow-up post, Wilson asserted that her father was not a “Western values/Christian family man.”

She further described him as a “serial adulterer who won’t stop f—ing lying about [his] own children.”

Wilson also accused Musk of dishonesty in regards to his efforts on climate change and space travel, and stated that he is not “saving the planet” and that his claims about “multi-planetary civilization” are merely “an excuse” and a desire to “seem like the CEO from Ready Player One.”

This criticism of Musk’s public persona follows Wilson’s previous denouncement of Musk’s comments about her gender transition when in a past interview, Musk had claimed that he was “misled” into approving Wilson’s gender-affirming care. Wilson firmly corrected this deception and declared that she had “disowned” Musk, not the other way around.
