Elon Musk has broken his silence on allegations that conservative influencer Ashley St. Clair intentionally sought to have his child, responding with surprise to viral accusations circulating on social media.
The tech billionaire reacted with “Woah” and “Yikes” to posts on X from his supporters, who shared what they claim are private messages from St. Clair revealing a plan to “baby trap” him as early as 2023.
“I wasn’t going to post these, but now that @stclairashley has leaked her private Signal messages with @elonmusk after lying and saying she ‘wanted privacy,’ here’s more evidence Ashley planned to baby trap Elon,” influencer Isabella Moody wrote on X, tagging Musk.
Moody then shared what she claimed were messages from St. Clair in May 2023, shortly after Musk followed her on social media.
“Elon followed me. I need his rocket babies,” St. Clair allegedly wrote in one message.
“Look, I’ll take one for the team, seduce Elon, and get in a rocket to see what’s up,” another text said.
Musk responded to Moody’s post with “Whoa!” and later replied “Yikes!” to a similar claim from conservative commentator Laura Loomer, who also accused St. Clair of deliberately trying to trap him.
The controversy erupted just a day after St. Clair filed two lawsuits against Musk in Manhattan Supreme Court—one seeking to establish him as the father of her five-month-old son, and another requesting full custody.
As part of the paternity suit, St. Clair submitted text messages allegedly from Musk, identified as “EM” in court exhibits. In one exchange, “EM” reportedly responded to a photo from St. Clair by saying, “I want to knock you up again.”
Another exchange showed St. Clair asking for an in-person meeting, to which “EM” replied, “Hmm ok. Well, I do have a legion of kids to make.” The filing also included a photo of Musk holding the child.
Musk, 53, currently has 12 confirmed children—five with his first wife, Justine Wilson, three with singer Grimes, and two with Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis.
