Elon Musk Posts Negative Drug Test Results From Last Week As Proof He Wasn’t High During Trump’s 2024 Campaign
Amid numerous reports that Elon Musk has a drug problem, the Tesla CEO has posted the negative results of a urine drug test to counter the accusations.
A New York Times report published last month stated that during Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign, Musk was using a large variety of drugs, including ecstasy, Ketamine, magic mushrooms and more. Accounts were provided by insiders familiar with Musk’s pastimes.
On June 17, weeks after these accusations, Musk posted the supposed results of his lab test, which was conducted on June 11, to X, captioned with a simple “lol.” The test was conducted by the “Fastest Labs of South Austin” in Texas, and the results of the urine test saw Musk test negative for amphetamines, ecstasy, cocaine, ketamine, cannabinoids and fentanyl.
Many commenters on social media noted that photoshopping Musk’s name on another individual’s negative drug test would not take more than a couple of minutes.
The Times report claimed Musk’s extensive drug use took place in 2024. The lab results were for a urine drug test that can only detect drugs in the system that were ingested in the last two to ten days. A hair follicle drug test can detect drug use as far back as three months, and many have wondered why Musk wouldn’t opt for that option.
Before he posted the results of the test, Musk reposted an X user’s comment reading, “If Elon is on any drugs, I want what he’s having.” He had previously responded to the accusations on X, writing, “I tried *prescription* ketamine a few years ago and said so on X, so this is not even news. It helps for getting out of dark mental holes, but I haven’t taken it since then.”
In the Times report, Musk’s Ketamine use was described as “chronic” and so extreme that it caused bladder issues. It was further alleged that Musk kept an array of narcotics in a daily medication pill box he regularly carried on his person.
At the time of the alleged drug use, Musk was increasing his support for Trump, ultimately donating almost $275 million to his 2024 campaign.
The relationship between the two spoiled as Musk left the DOGE on May 30.
Musk went on a multi-day tirade about Trump on social media. Although he later attempted to recant some of his statements, admitting he had “went too far,” he undoubtedly permanently damaged his relationship with the president.
