Ellie Goulding is flauting her impressive six-pack abs in a new photoshoot for Shape Magazine. The singer is giving details on workout routine and how she stays healthy, happy and in such incredible shape.
The Nike brand ambassador admits she’s a workout fanatic but stresses that her aim is to achieve fitness and strength, not to be skinny. “If getting stronger means getting more toned and slimmer, so be it, as long as strength comes with it,” she tells the mag. “I’m happy with my figure. I’ve never intended or tried to be skinny. It’s my not thing.”
She credits a balanced vegan diet and Barry’s Bootcamp classes for her perfectly toned abs but despite her dedication believes in succumbing to indulgences in moderation. “We’re expected to stay fit and eat healthy all the time, but that’s just never going to happen,” she says. “We all have to deal with stress. Sometimes at the end of the day, I want to have a drink, and I’m not ashamed of that.”
This week has been a busy one for the singer who dropped her latest album, Delirium, and performed at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Goulding took to Instagram to express her thanks to the VS angels and organizers, writing: “I had the most wonderful time with these ladies and the whole of the Victoria’s Secret team, what a brilliant bunch of people.”
