Elle Fanning fashioned a stunning new look at the 10th Annual LACMA Art + Film Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday.

The Neon Demon star turned heads on the carpet. Fanning went dark in a stunning black cutout dress. Far from her usual feminine style, the edgy and sleek look complemented the black and dark green themes at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

This mesh cutout dress was definitely one for the books — the actress paired the gown with a large sequined flower, silver jewelry and a slicked-back updo. Fanning strutted the carpet in five-inch black heels. Already tall in stature, the heels created a surprisingly elevated look.

The annual LACMA Art + Film Gala is set each year to honor distinguished figures in the fashion, film, art and entertainment industries. Celebrating its 10th year, the event, sponsored by Gucci, was a successful fundraiser for the museum. Proceeds benefited the museum’s film initiatives, in addition to future projects and screenings. LACMA trustee Eva Chow and Leonardo DiCaprio co-chaired the event.
