Eddie Murphy Welcomes Daughter With Girlfriend Paige Butcher

Eddie Murphy and his longtime girlfriend Paige Butcher welcomed their first child together on Tuesday.

Butcher, 36, gave birth to a baby girl on May 3 in Los Angeles, Calif., reported People magazine. Murphy and Butcher’s daughter, named Izzy Oona Murphy, weighed 7 lbs., 15 oz., and measured 19½ inches long at birth.

“Both mother and daughter are doing well,” Murphy’s rep told People.

It was confirmed back in November that Butcher and Murphy were expecting.

Izzy is Butcher’s first child and the ninth for Murphy, 54. Murphy has five kids with his ex-wife Nicole Mitchell – Bria, 25, Myles, 22, Shayne, 21, Zola, 15, and Bella, 13. He has a 26-year-old son, Eric, with ex-girlfriend Paulette McNeely, and a 25-year-old son, Christian, with ex-girlfriend Tamara Hood. With former Spice Girl and America’s Got Talent judge Mel B., Murphy has a daughter named Angel, 8.

Murphy and Butcher, an Australian model, have been dating since 2011 and have kept a relatively low-profile, rarely making public appearances together. Butcher has openly admitted that she puts a premium on having privacy in her personal life, and has shied away from social media for that reason.

“I’m in a relationship with a celebrity, so I felt like there’s already enough of me out there,” Butcher told Vanity Fair in 2013. “I was giving people too much access. I like to keep as much private as possible now.”
