Eddie Murphy is now officially a father of ten.

The 57-year-old comedian and Oscar-nominated actor had a boy named Max Charles Murphy with his 39-year-old fiancee Paige Butcher on Friday, according to multiple news outlets. The baby boy is the couple’s second child together.

Murphy’s son’s middle name is reportedly a tribute to the comedian’s elder brother Charlie, a former writer and cast member of Comedy Central’s Chappelle’s Show, who died of Leukemia in 2017 at age 57.

Murphy and Butcher started dating in 2012 and announced they were expecting another child in August, just one month before confirming their engagement. Their first child, daughter Izzy, turned 2 in May.

The actor and comedian’s oldest child, Eric, was born in 1989 to Murphy and Paulette McNeely. Murphy also shares five children with ex-wife Nicole Mitchell Murphy, one with Tamara Hood and one with former “Spice Girl” Mel B.

“The brightest part of my life is my kids,” Murphy told Entertainment Tonight in 2016. “My relationship with them, and my world revolves around them ― even the old, gray bald ones.”

Twitter users also seemed to be floored by the news of Murphy having yet another child:

Murphy last starred alongside Britt Robertson in the 2016 drama film Mr. Church, which received mostly negative reviews despite Murphy’s performance being praised.
