Eddie Murphy Expecting His Tenth Child

Actor Eddie Murphy, 57, and his girlfriend Paige Butcher have been dating since 2012 and have a two-year-old daughter Izzy Oona Murphy. Butcher was photographed with a baby bump while out and about in Los Angeles earlier this month and the couple later released a statement confirming the pregnancy. On Monday the couple confirmed that they are expecting their second child together, although this will be Murphy’s tenth child.

On Monday, a representative for Murphy released a statement, “Eddie Murphy and longtime girlfriend Paige Butcher are pleased to announce that they are expecting their second child in December.” Murphy has always been proud to be a dad and told Entertainment Tonight, in 2016, about how happy all of his children make him. “They’re grown, I wouldn’t say ‘old.” He jokingly added, “None of my children are gray and balding.” Murphy’s children range in age from two years to twenty-nine years old, and the actor told ET how happy he is to have raised children for the last three decades. “The brightest part of my life is my kids. My world revolves around them — even the old, gray bald ones.”

Murphy’s oldest son, Eric, was born to ex-girlfriend Paulette McNeely in 1989. Christian was born a year later to ex-girlfriend Tamara Hood. Murphy and ex-wife Nicole Mitchell share five children together: Bria, Myles Mitchell, Shayne Audra, Zola Ivy and Bella Zahra. Their children are 28, 25, 23, 18 and 16 respectively. Murphy has another daughter Angel Iris, age 11, with former Spice Girl Mel B. Murphy’s youngest child will certainly never be lonely!
