Ed Sheeran and Beyonce teamed up to perform the former’s cover of the latter’s hit song “Drunk in Love” at New York’s Global Citizen Festival.
Sheeran debuted his “Drunk in Love” cover at a concert last year, and on Saturday, got the chance to sing a duet on the track with Beyonce.
In addition to her duet with Sheeran, Beyonce sang the Fifty Shades of Grey version of “Crazy in Love,” “Love on Top,” Destiny Child songs “Survivor” and “Jumpin’, Jumpin'” as well as “Redemption Song” with Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder to close out the festival.
“Last night we all came together as #globalcitizens,” Beyonce captioned a video from the event. “You can get involved in the effort to end global poverty by 2030. Visit globalcitizen.org to take action without spending a dime.”
On Sheeran’s setlist was “Lego House,” “Photograph” and “The A Team,” among other tracks. He brought out fellow British singer Coldplay’s Chris Martin to sing “Thinking Out Loud” with him.
“Thank you global citizen for the amazing work and such a great crowd,” Sheeran captioned an Instagram snap with Martin on the Global Citizen stage.
