Ed Sheeran played the part of Taylor Swift’s publicist last Thursday, saying in a BBC interview when Swift’s next album release will likely be.

“Taylor [Swift] isn’t going to be releasing until probably the end of this year — Christmas is the smartest time to release because that’s when everyone buys records,” Sheeran said. “So I’ve got a full year of just all Ed, all the time.”

The singer also dropped hints that he may be a part of Swift’s next album. On the iHeartRadio Music Awards red carpet, Sheeran said that he would “definitely” be collaborating with Swift.

“Certainly in our lifetime,” he said with confidence.

The duo have collaborated before, so another project together makes sense. “Everything Has Changed,” Swift’s hit song that features Sheeran, soared in popularity and was part of her album Red. The two singers both fare well in terms of popularity in the music industry, and have had great musical chemistry in the past, so another collaboration will be eagerly anticipated by their fans.

Swift herself has kept relatively quiet for much of 2016 and 2017, save for her collaboration with Zayn Malik linked to “Fifty Shades Darker.”
