The Eagles have gone down in history as one of the best classic rock bands to date. Lead singer Glenn Frey and drummer Don Henley formed the band in 1971 in Los Angeles and eventually recruited musician Bernie Leadon and singer/songwriter Randy Meisner. Henley wrote some of the band’s most iconic pieces, such as “Witchy Woman” and “Desperado.” The former was a part of the band’s self-titled debut album and served as its rise to fame when it reached the top 40 charts.
The band is back on tour and will excitedly be making a return to the very city that inspired one of its greatest hits ever, otherwise known as California. “Hotel California” reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1976 and has been covered by numerous artists years later. Now, fans will have the opportunity to listen to the original version while the Eagles are on tour.
The tour kicks off February 7 in Atlanta, Georgia, and hits more major cities along the way, such as New York, Dallas and San Francisco.
