On Monday, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson took to social media to call out some of his male Fast 8 co-stars for being unprofessional.
Fast 8, the eighth installment in the successful Fast and the Furious film franchise, is scheduled to wrap shooting in a week and a half. The Rock took this opportunity to applaud Universal and his female co-stars and to criticize some of his male colleagues. See the post below:
Understandably, the co-stars are not pleased with this negative public appraisal. While the tweet was vague as to who it was aimed at, many consider this worse than if it had been targeted. “The male co-stars think Rock was out of line to talk cr*p,” TMZ said, “but given that he did, they think it’s unforgivable he wasn’t specific because now they’re all suspects.”
Some reports guess that The Rock has a current beef with Fast and Furious star and producer Vin Diesel, though this has not been confirmed. Just two years ago at the wrap of Furious 7, The Rock and Diesel stood side by side with co-star Tyrese Gibson with the caption, “Shout out to my bros The Rock and Vin.”
While complimented in the text, his female co-stars are not happy with the Rock’s social media behavior. “This is a hell of a way to end [filming],” a source told TMZ, adding that “extreme egos” all around have caused multiple conflicts during filming.
