Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson attended the premiere of his new movie San Andreas at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood Tuesday night.
Johnson arrived at the L.A. premiere of action flick San Andreas riding on the side of a local firetruck. Decked out in a gray suit, the movie star filmed himself while waving to the nearby crowds that had gathered to get a glimpse of the WWE Super Star.
“One of the greatest and most epic red carpet premiere arrivals in the history of Hollywood,” Johnson captioned an Instagram video of his grand entrance. “Thank you LAFD, thank you Warner Bros and all our press friends. But most of all.. THANK YOU FANS. #LAFD #TaskForce27 #ArrivingInStyle #AndOnFire #SanAndreas #HollywoodPremiere #Monumental.”
Johnson also took some time before hitting the red carpet to pose with members of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
“Very cool to spend some time with the boys at the firehouse before our big #SanAndreas premiere,” he wrote. “An honor for me to represent these colors in our film. #LAFD #SearchAndRescue #FireHouse27 #Courage #Integrity #Pride.”
The Rock had a busy week leading up the San Andreas premiere. Last Thursday, he made the Guinness Book of World Records for setting a selfie record. And, the following day, he got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
“We just set a NEW GUINNESS WORLD RECORD for most self portraits (selfies) taken in record time (yup, a selfie world record exists and your arm gets a helluva workout). WORLD PREMIERE of SAN ANDREAS and rewriting the record books all in one night. #MicDropBoom #NewSelfieKing.”
“To put this epic milestone into cool perspective.. Since 1927 there’s been less than 300 “Hand and Foot Ceremonies” bestowed at the famed Chinese Theater. From Eastwood to Spielberg.. #AmongstGreatness #Humbled #Immortalized #BigPawsAndClaws #HollywoodsChineseTheater.”
San Andreas hits theaters Friday, May 29.
