Drew Barrymore Pregnant With Second Child

Drew Barrymore and her husband Will Kopelman are expecting their second child together.

Barrymore, 38, confirmed the exciting baby news on Monday and opened up about her latest pregnancy on Tuesday with People magazine. “Last time I never commented on it and people just stalked me the entire time,” revealed Barrymore. “So yes, it’s happening, it’s true. I tried to keep it a secret for as long as possible.”

“When I found out I was overjoyed. It always feels so surreal, it’s incredible,” she added. “[I'm feeling] incredible, that ‘Here we go again‘ feeling. And blessed. Blessed!”

The Going the Distance actress gave birth to the couple’s first daughter, Olive, just 13 months ago. The second pregnancy in relatively quick succession was all a part of the actress’ plan. Back in May, Barrymore admitted that a larger brood was in her future – and hopefully sooner rather than later. "I grew up as an only child, and although that really works for some people and for some parents that's the way they want to do it,” she explained to Jay Leno on the Tonight Show.

"I want the kids in the back rolling their eyes at mom and dad,” Barrymore added. “I want Rusty and Audrey, theme parks and the whole nine."

Barrymore’s appearance at the LACMA Art+Film Gala on Saturday, sparked speculation that she and Koppelman had baby number two on the way. At the event honoring both Martin Scorcese and David Hockney, Barrymore donned a loose, flowing patterned dress that seemed to be designed to hide a burgeoning baby bump.
