Drew Barrymore is feeling pretty magical. The star, who has been in the spotlight since she was just seven, spoke with Harper’s Bazaar about life, love and Kraft macaroni and cheese.

"I feel like some of my baby fat is going away and that’s not just physically, it’s psychologically," she said. "I think that your body is in tune with your mind and your spirituality and your heart. If things are going better, I just think you look better." Barrymore, 35, discussed her exercise regime and attempts to stay healthy, but also admitted that her guilty pleasure is to "lie in bed, watch TV, be a total sloth, and eat my favorite food: Kraft macaroni and cheese."

Barrymore, who currently stars in the romantic comedy Going the Distance with real life boyfriend Justin Long, gushed over her beau. "He’s the cat’s pajamas," she said. "I couldn’t love, respect, admire, and enjoy that individual more than I do. It would be physically impossible for me to have any more giggly joy at this person." The actress hasn’t always been so interested in relationships. "For the last decade I’ve developed such a love of my independence that I have to go, ‘Okay, you’ve had dinner by yourself three nights in a row, now you have to see your friends,’ " she said.

But Barrymore remains supremely optimistic about the future. "35 is an incredible year for me," she said. "It’s just a very auspicious time." The October issue of Harper’s Bazaar will be on stands September 28. –AMY LEE
