Drew Barrymore and her husband Will Kopelman are headed for divorce after three years of marriage, according to reports on Friday.
Barrymore and Kopelman married in 2012 and have two children – daughters Frankie, three and one-year-old Olive.
“They’ve been having some difficulties, but they remain close for the sake of their kids,” one source told Page Six.
“Drew had a very rebellious and wild childhood, with no family around her, and while she is a very different person now, and a great mother, some of that can stay with you,” another source revealed.
In December, Barrymore shared some details about her marriage and spoke about the importance of compromise.
“My husband and I compromise on a lot of things like that, it’s the little things that you can change that can make the relationship stronger,” Barrymore told US Weekly.
“Compromise is about changing yourself for the better, it’s an opportunity for you to become a more functional, better person,” she added.
The actress explained that her husband, the wealthy son of former Chanel CEO Arie Kopelman, was always someone she could count on.
“He was someone who was always reachable on the phone, someone who was a classy human being, someone who has this incredible blueprint of a family that I don’t have,” she said.
Barrymore first married at age 19, but the marriage to bartender Jeremy Thomas in 1994 lasted less than two months.
Her second wedding, in 2001, to her Charlie’s Angels co-star Tom Green ended after five months.
Representatives for Barrymore and Kopelman have not responded to reports.
