Roughly $3 million worth of jewelry was stolen from Drake’s tour bus in Phoenix, Arizona, on Tuesday evening. Phoenix Police have since recovered the jewels and have a suspect in custody.
Drake and Future had a concert scheduled at the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix on Tuesday night. During their performance, their tour bus was robbed of a briefcase containing jewelry with an estimated value of $2-3 million. The jewelry apparently belongs to Drake’s DJ on the tour, Future the Prince.
Though the jewelry does not belong to the rapper, Drake was caught on camera getting visibly upset upon making his way to the tour bus.
Surveillance video led Phoenix Police to list Travion Lamar King, 21, as the main suspect. King was booked in the early hours of Wednesday morning on suspicion of criminal trespassing at Arizona State University. Police tracked him down at a Maricopa County jail and re-booked him into jail in connection with the burglary.
Drake is currently on his Summer Sixteen Tour. Drake’s next shows on Friday and Saturday will be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. He’ll play at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas Sunday.
