Drake’s New Music Video For ‘I’m Upset’ Calls ‘Degrassi’ Revival Into Question [VIDEO]

Unless you’re completely uninterested in the rap scene, you know there’s been some serious beef between Drake and Pusha T. The rappers have released songs tit-for-tat, targeting each other. With the release of his music video for new single “I’m Upset,” fans may have expected a response to fire back at Pusha T’s “The Story of Adidon,” but were met with something much more lowkey. It’s practically not a reaction at all, but possibly an indication of a Degrassi revival.

Drake got much of the Degrassi cast together for a “high school reunion” in his new music video. It starts with him waking up beside his date on a mattress in the middle of Toronto’s Raptors’ home court, the Air Canada Centre. Then, Drake quietly sneaks out of the arena to get dressed up for the Degrassi reunion.

Champagne Papi is pictured in a turtleneck and suit with a gold chain entering the decorated gym with old co-star Shane Kippel who played Gavin “Spinner” Mason, Drake’s character Jimmy Brooks’ best friend.

The reunion basically turned into a wild party involving alcohol, sex and lots of vomit. With this, Degrassi fans have now started questioning a possible revival of the TV series.

“Never say never,” original star Miriam McDonald, who played Emma Nelson on the show, told E! News. “We couldn’t have predicted this video was going to come along. Who knows what the next stop on this crazy train we’re on is going to be.”

Kippel added that being back with the squad reminded him of the times filming Degrassi and their unbreakable bond.

“Us being in the same room together again just reminded us of what a unique childhood we all had and how we have this bond that will transcend time no matter what,” Kippel said. “We could go five years, ten years without seeing each other and then it brings it all back.”
