Drake won big at UFC287 on Saturday night, cashing in around $2.7 million from his bet on Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira’s fight.
The Grammy-winning rapper, who is known for making extravagant sporting bets and his high-profile gambling losses, placed two separate bets roughly worth $1.4 million on former UFC middleweight champion Adesanya and Jorge Masvidal to win their respective fights.

While the Canadian artists lost $500,000 when Masvidal was ultimately defeated by Gilbert Burns, his bets that Adesanya would win and win by knockout both came in, earning him a whopping $2.7 million.
Despite his big wins, Drake’s viral losses have led to the widely held belief that athletes who come into contact with him will lose their following matches – a phenomenon dubbed the Drake Curse. It seems the curse had sadly fallen on Masvidal this weekend, who announced his retirement from UFC and called Donald Trump the “greatest President in the history of the world” after his fight.
