After the Kansas City victory at the 2024 Super Bowl, Drake won over $1.1 million by betting on the game.
Drake has been known to be an avid sports bettor – and not a very good one at that. He has lost many bets in previous years, causing the team he roots for to be stricken with the “Drake Curse.”
This year, the 49ers hoped that this curse would work in their favor after the pop superstar placed a $1.15 million wager on the Chiefs. In a post on Instagram, he showed his bet slip that revealed the wager and the possible payout of $2.346 million.
In the caption of the post, he joked, “Can’t bet against the Swifties” – and apparently, he was right.
After the heavy-media coverage of the budding romance between singer Taylor Swift and her new beau, tight end for the Chiefs Travis Kelce, even sporting betting was influenced.
After the game, Swift and Kelce attended a Super Bowl afterparty in Las Vegas to celebrate the victory.
In a video he posted on Instagram, Drake revealed his earnings of $1 million.
In the last week, the singer was also in the headlines over an alleged X-rated video of him circulating online.
