Drake, 30, is still receiving checks from his TV series Degrassi: The Next Generation – 10 years after it went off the air.

He appeared at the beginning of season one as wealthy basketball player, Jimmy Brooks. In season four, a tragic school shooting paralyzed Jimmy, putting him in a wheelchair for life.The Canadian actor and singer’s last appearance on the show was in season eight when his class graduated and moved on with their lives.

The rapper posted a humorous Instagram post last week showing fans that he is still getting royalties from his days starring on the teen drama. The check was valued at a whopping $8.25.

Degrassi was first created in 1979 and since then has been revived, dropped and picked up multiple times.The franchise originates from Toronto and is based on the lives of students that reside near or on Degrassi Street in Toronto.
