Drake Pays Tribute To Mother & Daughter Who Died After His St. Louis Show

In a heartfelt gesture, Drake, the renowned rapper, expressed his condolences to the family of a mother and daughter who tragically lost their lives after they attended his concert at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri.

At his performance in Buffalo, New York, on February 28, the artist took a moment to remember the victims and urged his fans to embrace love and compassion.

Laticha Bracero, 42, and her daughter Alyssa Cordova, 21, were leaving the joint concert that featured Drake and J. Cole on February 13 when they were struck by a speeding car that ran a red light. Video footage captured the horrific incident. Bracero passed away at the scene and Cordova succumbed to her injuries later at the hospital.

The driver responsible for the tragedy, Monte Henderson, 22, was arrested and charged with two counts each of armed criminal action and involuntary manslaughter, as reported by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. To support the grieving family, a GoFundMe campaign has been launched to cover Bracero and Cordova’s funeral expenses, with an overwhelming response from over 1,100 donors contributing $39,605.

In his speech, Drake encouraged the crowd to look into the eyes of strangers and demonstrate their appreciation for life.

“You never know what somebody else’s reality will be when they walk out of this building,” he said. “So for this moment that all of us are together… I want you to prove that you’re grateful for your life… Just show them some love, because you never know what comes next. Just show some f—-ing love tonight in Buffalo, New York!”

Drake emphasized the significance of kindness and decency in our daily lives and expressed his gratitude to the crowd for their positive energy. He concluded his tribute by honoring the memory of the young mother and her child.

Drake also took a moment to acknowledge a cancer survivor in the audience, who held up a sign that proclaimed their victory over stage four cancer just in time to attend the show. Moved by the fan’s resilience, the rapper generously gifted them $25,000, a heartfelt gesture that further exemplified his commitment to spreading positivity and support.

Last month, Drake was in the deadlines when an alleged X-rated video of him began circulating online.
