Drake Booed Off Stage At Tyler, The Creator’s ‘Camp Flog Gnaw’ Festival
Drake was booed off stage during his set at Tyler, The Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw Festival on Sunday, Nov. 10.
Although the reason for the crowds booing and heckling is unsure, there is some speculation on social media about what may have caused the frustration. Apparently, there was a rumor that Frank Ocean was supposed to play the set that Drake took over, however, Ocean’s attendance was never confirmed.
Drake tried pleading with the crowd, saying, “I’m here for you,” continuing with, “If you want me to keep going, I’ll keep going.”
The rapper was still met with “no’s” and booing from the crowd, decided to leave the stage twenty minutes before his performance was supposed to end. “It’s been love. I go by the name of Drake, thank you for having me,” he said before walking off-stage.
Tyler, The Creator addressed the situation with a series of tweets today, calling the way his fans acted “entitled” and “trash.”
I THOUGHT BRINGING ONE OF THE BIGGEST ARTIST ON THE FUCKING PLANET TO A MUSIC FESTIVAL WAS FIRE! BUT FLIPSIDE, A LIL TONE DEAF KNOWING THE SPECIFIC CROWD IT DREW. SOME CREATED A NARRATIVE IN THEIR HEAD AND ACTED OUT LIKE ASSHOLES WHEN IT DIDNT COME TRUE AND I DONT FUCK WITH THAT
