Donatella Versace Receives Praise For New ‘Youthful Appearance’ Amid Plastic Surgery Reports: ‘The Biggest Upgrade In History’
Donatella Versace has caught public attention with her fresh face following an alleged series of plastic surgery procedures.
On Monday, photos of Versace at the Battersea Dogs and Cats Home in London went viral due to her youthful appearance.
When Versace, 69, stepped out with her new look for the first time at the Devil Wears Prada premiere earlier this month, fans were quick to pass judgment on her recent surgeries. Now that the surgeries appear to have healed, internet users are dubbing her transformation “The biggest upgrade in history.”
Many people have long been obsessed with determining the degree to which a celebrity has had plastic surgery to enhance their looks, which reflects the societal importance of physical attractiveness and the pressure individuals feel to adhere to such standards.
The cultural fascination with celebrity enhancement feeds on the desire to “expose” people who have had plastic surgery, propagating the misconception that plastic surgery is something shameful.
At the movie premiere, Versace posed alongside her friend Sir Elton John and, later, Anna Wintour.
Versace captioned her post on Monday, ‘The team showed me how they care for the rescued dogs and cats they are looking after. I am supporting the home with great pride.”
She continued, “Please join me and donate whatever you can to help keep these amazing animals safe, healthy and loved whilst they find new homes.”
