Donald Trump Tells Jimmy Fallon To “Be A Man” After Fallon Says He Wasn’t Trying To “Normalize” Him

Jimmy Fallon is President Donald Trump’s newest late night host target.

On the podcast Award Chatter, Jimmy Fallon reflected back on his infamous 2016 with then-candidate Trump where he played with his hair, which many found as odd.

Fallon said that the interview was not meant to support his political beliefs. “I did not do it to ‘normalize’ him or to say I believe in his political beliefs or any of that stuff,” he said. Fallon explained that over time the criticism he was facing for the interview “got bigger and out of control.” Even other late night host had their criticisms. “I saw other comedians from other shows making fun of me on Twitter and I go, ‘OK, now I’m just gonna get off.’ They know the show. I’m just doing five hours a week. I get in at 10 in the morning, I work ’til seven at night and I’m just trying to make a funny show,” he said.

After the podcast aired, to no surprised Trump did not take it well, he took to Twitter to call out Fallon for “whimpering” and to say that the interview gave the show “monster ratings.”

Fallon has since responded to the president by saying he will be donating money to RAICES, a nonprofit that promotes justice by providing free and low-cost legal services to underserved immigrant families. This comes following the controversy of the White House’s immigration policy that is separating children from their parents and holding them in camps.

Many celebrities are donating money in honor of Trump’s policies, last week Chrissy Teigen and John Legend donated $288,000 to ACLU for the president’s birthday.
