Fallon, intent on getting a chance to ruffle Trump’s coiffure, insisted that it could be his last opportunity since Trump could be the President of the United States the next time they meet. Trump didn’t seem terribly keen on the idea, but perhaps enjoying the appeal to his ego, he relented.

“I’m not liking the sound of this,” Trump said before adding, “The answer is yes.” Fallon, grinning ear-to-ear, enthusiastically took his hand to Trump’s head of hair. Afterwards, Trump futilely tried to put the strands back in place.

Trump went on to ask New Hampshire voters, who he was scheduled to visit after the show’s taping, not to make too much out of his hair situation. “I hope the people of New Hampshire… will understand,” he said.

Elsewhere in the program, Fallon pointed out that there is less than two months until people head to the ballots.

“Donald, this is getting real,” Fallon said. “Do you still want to do it? There’s time.”

Fallon also referenced Trump’s seemingly chummy relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin, dubbing their bromance name “Vlump.”

“I don’t even know him. I don’t know him,” Trump insisted to Fallon. “I know nothing about him. If we got along with Russia, not a bad thing. I don’t have any feelings about him. They make it like he’s my best friend. I don’t even know him.”
