Donald Trump Jr. Wants A ‘Fighter’ As Dad’s V.P., Recommends Tucker Carlson & Vivek Ramaswamy

Donald Trump Jr. pressed his father, former President Donald Trump, to select a “strong “fighter” as his running mate.

In an interview with the New York Post, Trump Jr. highlighted the importance of choosing the right vice president, wanting someone who can take a punch and hit back harder.

“What I want in that role is, I want a fighter,” stated Trump Jr., “I understand what they are going to throw at us.”

“In 2016, you needed someone to balance out [the ticket] — that’s where Mike Pence made sense, sort of the yin and yang, but [given] the vicious nature of the swamp and the insanity we see on a daily basis, you need someone who can take those hits,” he continued.

Trump Jr. revealed that he’s been pushing people such as Vivek Ramaswamy, a former GOP candidate, and former Fox News host Tucker Carlson to be Trump’s running mate. He also mentioned John Ratcliffe, an ex-director of national intelligence, and Cliff Sims, who used to be Trump’s special assistant.

“There are so many great people to choose from now with the administration’s first four years, you have a good understanding of who would be great and loyal and implement the America First policies,” Trump Jr. revealed.

In 2016, during Trump’s first term in office, Trump Jr.’s sister, Ivanka and husband Jared Kushner, both served senior White House roles.

Currently, Trump Jr. revealed that he does not plan to serve any administration positions if his father gets elected but does plan to be “very active” with the presidential transition team.

His girlfriend, Kimberly Guilfoyle, is focused more on fundraising for Trump’s campaign.

“Mostly just to make sure we stop some of the D.C. swamp rats and the swamp creatures from getting in there and doing their thing,” he said.

In recent weeks, Trump Jr. has been faced with multiple controversies. The recent postponement of his Australian tour left many struggling to get refunds, and an Australian minister resorted to calling him a “sore loser.”

Trump Jr. was also under fire in February when he made controversial comments about former First Lady Michelle Obama.
