Donald Trump Jr. said he has no plans to run for president – yet – although he is enjoying being a conservative voice roasting his opponents on his social media accounts.
On a recent trip to Texas for a Conservative Political Action Conference gathering, the eldest son of former President Donald Trump, disclosed in an interview with Fox News that he’s never “personally thought about” running for president in the 2024 election. He did note that he was pretty high up “if not at the top of” unnamed polls.
“Who knows,” Trump Jr. said. “The reality with that job is you also have to want to do the day job, right? It’s not just about the campaigning. I love being in that fight. I love fighting for the things that are out there, that I believe in as a conservative. I will do that irrespective. To want to actually get in that mix, is a whole different story.”
The former president, who is currently facing several civil lawsuits and being investigated for tax fraud within his Trump Organization, has not given a straight answer if he will run again in 2024.
Trump held his first post-presidential rally last month in Ohio, where he said that Biden’s Administration is a “catastrophe,” and told his long-term friend Fox News host Sean Hannity that he has made up his mind about whether or not he will run.
