At a campaign rally, Donald Trump Jr. sunk to the low of insulting Democratic Senate candidate John Fetterman.

In May, Fetterman, suffered a severe stroke.

This led Republicans to frequently question the Democrat’s health. Fetterman’s opponent Dr. Oz has made the stroke a major issue.

During the debate between Fetterman and Oz, Fetterman’s multiple slip-ups led to a barrage of criticisms from the Republicans.

On Sunday, Trump Jr. stated that Fetterman should not be allowed in the Senate due to a lack of “basic cognitive function.”

He also went on to claim that Fetterman wouldn’t be making his own decisions and simply “vote however [Majority Leader] Chuck Schumer tells him to.”

Trump Jr. came under fire from Twitter users. NBC former executive Mike Sington called the remarks “disgusting.” Andrew Feinberg, a reporter for the Independent described the words as a “vile attack.”

Twitter user Alicia Givens took offense to more than just Trump Jr’s words. “Don Jr stood up there earlier calling Fetterman brain dead and mush for brains and now Trump is referring to Nancy Pelosi as an animal,” she wrote.

Donald Trump called Nancy Pelosi “an animal” on Monday during a separate rally.
