Doja Cat’s Mom Granted Restraining Order Against Her Son For Physical Abuse, Says Singer Has Also Been Attacked
Deborah Elizabeth Sawyer, the mother of popular rapper Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, more commonly known to the public by her stage name Doja Cat, has filed a restraining order against her son Raman Dalithando Dlamini, claiming that he has been physically and verbally abusing herself and her daughter.
Sawyer is concerned about her safety and the safety of her family. She claims that Doja Cat has had her teeth knocked out by Dlamini and that she needed protection from him.
Additionally, Sawyer claimed that her son left her daughter with cuts and bruises and stole some of her possessions. She also said that Dlamini’s behavior has left them feeling “unsafe and traumatized.”
Sawyer’s request for a temporary restraining order against her son was granted by a judge, but the judge said that the request would only be granted for Sawyer herself and if Doja Cat would like her own restraining order, she would have to formally request one on her own.
This is not the first time that Sawyer has filed for restraint against her son. However, her previous order has expired.
Dlamini claimed that the allegations were false and denied any abuse against the pop singer and her mother. He claimed to have no idea about the restraining order and when questioned by paparazzi, he claimed he had “no restraining order” against him.
Doja Cat has been on her Scarlet Tour and has been traveling and playing shows all across the country since October.
