Even newly minted Grammy-Award winners have to answer nature’s call.
Doja Cat narrowly missed accepting her Grammy for best pop duo/group performance with SZA for their song “Kiss Me More.”
“I’ve never taken such a fast piss in my whole life,” Doja Cat said after running onto the stage.
“And you know what, SZA, you are everything to me,” the rapper and singer said, showing respect for her partner on the song. “You are incredible. You are the epitome of talent, you’re a lyricist, you are everything.”
Then, Doja Cat asked SZA to “say something, something, please give them something” so SZA thanked her family and God before teasing her collaborator, “I’m glad you made it back in time.”
After catching her breath from the mad dash to the stage from the restroom, Doja Cat got emotional.
“I like to downplay s–t,” she said. “But this? It’s a big deal.”
“Thank you, everybody,” she added while tearing up. “I really appreciate it. Thank you to everybody. My friends, my family, my team. I wouldn’t be here without you and I wouldn’t be here without my fans and you know what SZA you are everything to me. You are incredible. You are the epitome of talent. Be safe, take care.”
