DJ Zedd and singer Jason Derulo were in attendance at the Tinder Plus Launch Party at Hangar 8 Santa Monica at Barker Hangar on Wednesday.
Zedd and Derulo posed together at Tinder’s star-studded launch party in Santa Monica. Both artists have made their music available through the app when a user swipes right on their music profile. Though Zedd’s digital downloads cost $3.99, it’s not a revenue-generating partnership, according to Tinder, which sees it as more of a marketing move.
Back in May, Derulo premiered his music video for “Want to Want Me” on Tinder.
“I wanted to find a new unique way to launch my video,” Derulo said in a press statement. “I know my fans are tapped into social networking so what better way to launch my video for “Want to Want Me” than through one of the fastest rising social networking apps, Tinder. I see this app as the wave of the future. I know my fans will swipe right.”
How is Tinder Plus different from Tinder? For starters, it’s free of advertisements. It also features a Rewind button so that users can go back if they swipe left on someone they might decide they’re interested in. It also has a PassPort option for people who want to meet matches from around the world.
