Disneyland’s Instagram and Facebook pages were filled with offensive and racist posts by a self-proclaimed “super hacker.”

“Disneyland Resort’s Facebook and Instagram accounts were compromised early this morning. We worked quickly to remove the reprehensible content, secure our accounts, and our security teams are conducting an investigation,” a spokesperson said.

The first of the four hacked posts was released at 3:50am PT on July 7, in which the hacker introduced himself and reveled he was taking revenge on the park.

The posts contained many racial slurs and also mentioned the “work in progress” of a new strain of Covid-19 called “COVID20.”

Many followers of the park’s pages about commented their confusion regarding the hacked posts through social media.

“Did not expect to see the Disneyland Instagram get hacked and be covered in racial slurs today. Oh boy,” one user commented on Twitter.

“Naw Disneyland account being hacked by a racist wasn’t on my bingo card this year LMAO,” another user said.

This is not the first time that Disney had faced problems with cyber security breach. In 2020, multiple Disney+ accounts were hacked and sold online.

“We have found no evidence of a security breach,” a spokesperson said about the issue. “We continuously audit our security systems and when we find an attempted suspicious login we proactively lock the associated user account and direct the user select a new password.”
