A Frozen sequel is officially in the works, Disney announced Thursday.
Chief Creative Officer of Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios John Lasseter broke the sequel news in a statement. “We enjoyed making Frozen Fever so much and being back in that world with those characters, Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck have come up with a great idea for a sequel and you will be hearing a lot more about it and we’re taking you back to Arendelle,” Lasseter said in a statement. “We are so excited about that.”
Josh Gad, who has already signed on to return as snowman Olaf, tweeted after the announcement, “THATS RIGHT. #Frozen2 IS COMING!!!”
As of yet, neither Idina Menzel (Elsa) nor Jonathan Groff (Kristoff) have posted about the sequel, though both stage and screen stars are expected to return to their parts.
