John Singleton in 2013
John Singleton, best known for directing Boyz n the Hood, is in a coma following a stroke he suffered more than a week ago.
According to court documents, his mother, Shelia Ward is requesting that she be appointed his temporary conservator so she can make medical and financial decisions for him while he is incapacitated.
As of now, it is unknown if the court has granted Ward’s request or not.
Friends and colleagues of Singleton have taken to social media to give him tribute.
